Allegiant to park 757 aircraft - Hawaii on hold

Allegiant is rumored to be parking their small 757 fleet

Word from Arizona is that Allegiant is rethinking their 757 plans. We've heard from Kingman, AZ that Allegiant will be parking their 2 Boeing 757 Aircraft, seen here. Allegiant will be parking the 757 at Kingman Airport (IGM) for the time being, with an unknown launch date. It is thought that they are rethinking their strategy, given recent news, such as the FAA investigating the runway incident in September.

Is Allegiant trying to be like Expedia?

It seems that Allegiant is trying to position itself as an "Expedia with Wings" brand.

On their new Youtube video, featured prominently on &, they emphasize on more than just flights.

This should really come as no surprise, considering the downright crazy amount of money Allegiant is making on ancillary revenue.

Expect to see Allegiant focus on a small, but growing portion of their Ancillary revenues - Hotels, Rental Cars similar to the Expedia, but with their own Airline.
